I had the opportunity to work with Karen Fitzgerald when planning my son's Bar Mitzvah. From the start, Karen understood my budget, she clearly understood the photos I wanted to have taken and offered me suggestions on how she could capture the true meaning of the day. Her professionalism and kind way made me feel relaxed and that I was in good hands. The days leading up to my event Karen contacted me, I did not have to track her down. She visited my venue and offered suggestions of where I could have my stills taken. We spoke about time frames for the photos and how we could handle the stills while still having me greet my guests and enjoy the cocktail hour.
Karen did a wonderful job capturing precious memories for our daughters baptism. She was able to photograph many formal and candid photos that were so fun to look through and share. She was involved from the first initial contact making sure we would get the perfect photos. We will cherish this day forever and the pictures provide us with great memories. I would highly recommend Karen for any event.

Thank you so much for taking pictures with Santa for the low-income, homeless and foster children at the Helicopter Santa Party. I would highly recommend Karen FitzGerald to photograph any event. I hired Karen for my older son’s Bar Mitzvah in February, 2012. Prior to the event, she did a very thorough job of discovery and pre-work. She asked which pictures of each portion of the day we wanted to capture, and actually went to both the temple and reception hall to make sure that she understood the lighting and space limitations of each. In addition, she asked about family members and friends that were important to include in photos. By paying attention to those details, Karen completely captured our son’s special day. Not only did we receive excellent color photographs of the family members and friends we requested, every guest was captured at one point of the day!
I also had the pleasure of attending another event that Karen photographed. She blended in with the guests, and didn’t disrupt any portion of the event as she worked. Many other guests remarked that she was amazing! Karen is the consummate professional. She takes the time to understand the customer’s needs, and delivers amazing lifetime memories.
I have recommended Karen to other friends, and have already hired her to photograph my younger son’s Bar Mitzvah later this year. I can’t wait to see the amazing photographs from that day!
